Because of the scaled-down nature of this year’s MISTI-Con, the Margate must open up the resort to other guests. We will not have the whole resort to ourselves. With this in mind, it is very important that you wear your MISTI-Con badge while participating in the conference.
MISTI-Con requires participants to be up-to-date on their COVID vaccinations and to wear masks in indoor programming spaces and in shared indoor spaces such as hallways. We take the well-being of our con community very seriously. Some participants are immunocompromised or live with loved ones who are highly vulnerable to coronavirus. Our guidelines are designed to ensure that everyone can attend programming as safely as possible.
However, we cannot impose our mask and vaccine policies on hotel guests who are not participating in MISTI-Con. We will be checking for badges and masks at all programs in order to keep out the muggles, and to ensure the safety and health of all participants. If you’d like to help as a conference room proctor or escort, please send an email to info@misti-con.com with “volunteer” in the subject line.
If you are harassed in any way, whether it be by a con participant or another hotel guest, please let someone know. Our Community Guidelines include suggestions on what to do if someone makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
